ORB research have published a new poll, commissioned by the Citizens Organising Foundation that shows two in three (66%) UK adults support getting as many of the 300,000 – 500,000 asylum seekers and those that have overstayed their visa into work.

The Employment Minister has sought to explain the Government’s efforts to tackle the issue of unscrupulous employers taking advantage of vulnerable, and frequently immigrant, workers in the UK.

An undercover journalist working for the BBC has reported of his experience of working for a licensed gangmaster and being paid under the National Minimum Wage. After three weeks, he received £97 for 20 hours’ work in his first week, although £50 was deducted for accommodation costs.
