Migrant workers forced to sleep in public toilets
The Hackney Gazette has reported that a public toilet in Stamford Hill is being used as lodgings by migrant workers.
The paper reports that Martin Edwards, manager of KeyCuts Services Ltd in Stamford Hill, situated opposite the toilets on the corner of Stamford Hill and Amhurst Park, said he had seen people arriving carrying sleeping bags and rucksacks.
“They are all young guys, some of whom are Polish, who sleep there then come out early in the morning and go to work on building sites,” he said.
