Kevin Beeston

Kevin Beeston was appointed Executive Chairman of Serco Group plc in May 2002, having previously served as the group’s Finance Director and Chief Executive. He has announced his intention to move to Non-executive Chairman of Serco in September 2007.

A qualified accountant, Kevin joined Serco in 1985. Since then the company has developed from a small UK technical business to become an innovative FTSE 250 international service company, which combines commercial know – how with a deep public service ethos. Today, Serco employs 50,000 people and has annual revenues of £2.5bn. For the past 2 years Serco has been named by Management Today as the most admired FTSE 250 company and the most admired Support Services Company.

Kevin is a member of the CBI President’s Committee and Chairman of the CBI’s Public Services Strategy Board, which promotes the role business has in transforming the UK’s public services. In May 2007 he was appointed non-executive chairman of Partnerships in Care Limited, the UK’s leading independent provider of secure mental health services. In addition he holds  non-executive director positions on the boards of IMI plc and Ipswich Town Football Club plc.

He is married to Jayne and they live in Surrey with three children, two dogs and a cat.
